Be the Spark That Ignites a Child’s Dream is an event centered on educating foster care and adoptive families on the health and wellness of children. It will take place on Sat. Nov. 12, 2011 on the Maryville University campus from 10:00 am-11:45am. Registration will begin at 9:30am in the Simon Center Lobby. Included in the Fair will be:
- One hour training session for parents entitled “Redirecting Children’s Behavior” from 10:30 until 11:30 presented by Lisa Ezeamii, a Bringing Families Together Case Manager.
- Opportunities/Events for the Children and Young Adults
- Sports skills sessions: basketball, soccer (Middle and High School Students) conducted by Maryville’s Division II athletes
- Musical Skills session (Middle and High School Students)
- Activities and Games (5th grade and under): Wii Dance, Obstacle Course, Face
- Painting, Hoola Hoop Game, Stilts, Toss Game, Parachute, Simon Says
- Opportunities/Events for the Children and Young Adults
