MoBot Garden Field Trips

August 16th, 2012

Here’s how to get your BIM-sponsored field trip to the Missouri Botanical Garden:

1.  Teachers can get free transportation to the Garden from BIM, with the exception of K-1 who can book the programs through the school district.  Teachers book the bus through First Student and should obtain a copy of the bus confirmation from their principal well before the trip to avoid cancellation (confirm payment by BIM through Sandy at shermann@maryville.edu).

2.  This year, teachers may not take an on-site class or an off-site class.  Last year the Garden provided these at no cost because the grant had made provision for the classes before the Garden started charging for classes.

3.  Teachers may take a FREE self-guided tour or guided tour.  Guided tour topics are the same as the classes.

4,  We recommend that the teachers use one of the BIM lessons at the Garden.

5.  The Children’s Garden is free on Wednesday mornings.
