Maryville University’s Center for Global Education focuses around three fundamental initiatives:
Center for Global Education at Maryville University aims to internationalize the university and prepare our students to become globally ready: armed with the knowledge, skills and attitudes to function effectively in today’s globalized society. Through a variety of study abroad programs, we encourage our students to appreciate the diversity of the human condition and develop the desire and capacity to become engaged in addressing the issues of global society.
Maryville University’s Center for Global Education offers services to all current and prospective international students at Maryville, to help them with their experiences both upon arrival and later during their stay at Maryville. It provides information on a wide range of matters, including immigration issues, academic programs, financial questions, social and cultural differences, and resources at Maryville as well as the community.
Maryville University’s Center for Global Education also assumes the role of an intermediary between international students and the U.S. government agencies to supervise their stay in U.S.
The ESL Bridge Program at Maryville University offers English as a Second Language (ESL) courses that are tailored for conditionally admitted students who are academically admissible but who achieve a low English proficiency exam score. English as a Second Language (ESL) courses are available to prepare these students to meet the English proficiency requirements for their degree program at Maryville University.
