Special Programs

Cancer Support Community of Greater St. Louis, in collaboration with Maryville University, is proud to offer Kids Rock Cancer, which uses the proven healing power of music therapy to help kids give voice to their feelings. This innovative program is open to children who have a family member with cancer. A certified music therapist helps the children express their thoughts and ideas, which they then convert into song (melody and lyrics) and record with background instrumentation. Children receive a CD recording of their song.
