Maryville University has a long history of supporting the use of technology on campus, which allows us to provide different technologies to faculty, staff, and students. See below for a brief description of the different types of technologies supported by Learning Design & Technology
Canvas by Instructure
Canvas is the Learning Management System (LMS) used at Maryville. It allows instructors a place to post class announcements, share a course syllabi, provide learning materials, manage online discussions, collect and grade assignments, facilitate quizzes, and track grades and attendance. Because Canvas is cloud-based, instructors can work in Canvas from anywhere. In addition, it offers even more flexibility via its iPad app. Instructors also benefit from the free SpeedGrader iPad app for grading assignments and quizzes. For more information, including help documentation, training videos, and information on training opportunities, please visit the Canvas page.
LDT Supported Technologies:
Learning Design and Technology (LDT) supports the campus with the use of technology in the classroom. To view a complete list of the technologies LDT supports, please visit the Supported Technologies page.
