Eric Delabar, Camp Director
Coach Delabar returns as Maryville’s soccer camp director for the 15th summer and will be the camp’s master teacher. In addition, Coach Delabar will train the goalkeepers during each camp session. He was an All-American goalkeeper for three Quincy University National Championship teams. Eric also played professionally with the New York Cosmos and the St. Louis Steamers.
He currently coaches the women’s team at Maryville University, who compete on the NCAA Division II level in the Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC). In 1999 and 2005, Eric was voted St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Coach of the Year and in 2002 was elected into the NAIA Hall of Fame. He also coaches the girls’ team at Fort Zumwalt North High School. Coach Delabar owns a United States Soccer Federation National A License.
Todd Wallace, Camp Coordinator
Coach Wallace is the Head Men’s Soccer Coach at Maryville University and enters his fifth summer working as camp coordinator. He is responsible for the administrative duties of camp, including: communication with parents, roommate and team assignments, as well as the advertising and marketing of the camp. Coach Wallace played collegiately for Loyola University Chicago, where he served as team captain his senior year, and owns a United States Soccer Federation National B Coaching License.
Arguably the best ever American born player, Al is another coach with years of experience. Trost is a two-time Hermann Award winner recognized as the NCAA Player of the Year. While at St. Louis University, he played on two National Championship teams. He’s a former Olympic team player and World Cup team captain, and in 2006, was inducted into the United States Soccer Hall of Fame. Coach Trost is also a former head coach of the St. Louis Steamers. He currently coaches the boys’ and girls’ soccer teams at Parkway South High School.
A 20+ year camp veteran, Coach Cacciatore will continue to lend his expertise to the Maryville University Saints Soccer Camp. Cacciatore played for seven seasons with the original St. Louis Steamers after a successful career at SIU-Edwardsville, where he won a National Championship. He currently coaches at Whitfield School, where he serves as head coach for the girls team.
Dan has logged an impressive 26+ years with the camp, dating back to when it was directed by St. Louis soccer legend Pat McBride. O’Keefe is a veteran of several NPSL teams including the 1992 Champion Detroit Rockers and the 1993 St. Louis Ambush, and retired as the league’s all-time leading goal scorer.
