The Center for Global Education is planning a second annual overseas trip for next spring. The 14-day program will take Maryville University alumni and their friends through the best of France, May 8-21.
The journey begins at the World War II battlegrounds and American Cemetery in Normandy, and then continues to Brittany, the Loire Valley and Provence. Four nights and three days of sightseeing in Paris will conclude the trip. In addition to lectures from local guides, Maryville professors Dennis Wachtel, John Wickersham and Karen Craddock will accompany the group and provide interesting and timely lectures along the way.
The cost is $4,900 from St. Louis with a minimum of 30 participants (double occupancy – single supplement is $420) and maximum of 36. This includes all basic charges, except lunches and Paris dinners. A deposit of $500 is required to reserve a spot; deadline is Dec. 15.
