November 2010

Maryville University has been selected by the St. Louis Regional Commerce & Growth Association (RCGA) as a recipient of the 2010 Greater St. Louis TOP 50 Businesses Shaping our Future Award. This marks the second consecutive year Maryville has been recognized as a leader.

The award is presented to institutions, companies and organizations that significantly contribute to the business community and positively impact the community at large.

“Maryville University is pleased to be recognized for our involvement in the St. Louis region,” said President Mark Lombardi, PhD. “Through our many collaborations – such as our work in local school districts, our new affiliation with Junior Achievement, our annual Maryville Reaches Out service day and our fine tradition of presenting the St. Louis Speakers Series – we continue to provide high-quality opportunities for educational advancement, cultural enrichment and professional development.”

The 15th Annual Greater St. Louis Top 50 Awards were presented during a dinner ceremony on Nov. 11. The program is co-sponsored by RCGA and RubinBrown. Other sponsors include Ameren Corporation, Edward Jones, M&I Bank, Thompson Coburn LLP, KMOX Radio, St. Louis Post-Dispatch, stltoday.com and St. Louis Commerce magazine.
