April 2012
Call your friends and grab your clubs: The 24th Annual Maryville University Golf Classic is scheduled for Monday, July 16, 2012, at the Old Hickory Golf Club in St. Peters, Mo. The event is hosted by the Maryville Department of Athletics.
The 18-hole, four-person team scramble has traditionally been a great business networking event, and also a way for alumni to meet or reconnect. Maryville University’s Director of Athletics Marcus Manning says, “The Golf Classic provides a unique opportunity for the Maryville community, supporters and fans of Saints Athletics to enjoy a great day of golf and socializing, while assisting Maryville University in shaping the future of its student-athletes.”
Participants can sign up as a team or as an individual player, for $250 per player.
Participants don’t have to be golfers to enjoy the day. Guests may attend just the lunch for $20 per person or the lunch and cocktail party after the golfing for $50. There are several opportunities to serve as a sponsor, to donate a silent auction item or to volunteer.
Proceeds benefit Maryville’s NCAA Division II athletics program. Organizers encourage teams to register early, as space is limited. For more information, contact Athletics Director Marcus Manning at 314.529.9288 or mmanning@maryville.edu
