I am excited to announce a new edition to the Maryville Technology Family for 2010!

The best way to describe the MingleStick is as a “jump drive” that helps you trade electronic “business cards” with your new friends and connections on campus!
When you plug in your MingleStick, the computer will prompt you to create a profile – kind of like Facebook. You have the option to be as detailed or vague as you’d like to be. So if you want people to see your name, E-mail, and picture – that’s all they can see. Otherwise, you can include a magnitude of data!
I made sure to link my Facebook and Twitter pages to my MingleStick. This way, when I mingle with new students and people interested in being a part of my organizations, they are given a direct link to “friend” me on Facebook or “follow” me on Twitter – just to save that hassle of searching through endless profiles…
And it’s so easy! If you want to mingle, just push have your co-mingler push the toggle button until both of your MingleSticks turn green – and you’ve successfully Mingled and traded information! At the end of the day, just plug the MingleStick into the computer, log in, and download all your new contacts into one local database!
You will see MingleSticks throughout all of UWOW – and every UWOW Team Member will be trained on successfully managing and using the MingleSticks!
