Fall 2020 International Student Orientation

We are excited to welcome you home!

New international students who will be residents on campus will be moving in on Friday, August 21st. For students who need to move in earlier, they may do so on Sunday, August 16th. We will have Residential Life support to direct you on both days during business hours. Please try to arrange your travel plans accordingly. Let us know about your travel plans as soon as it is available by filling out this arrival form.

Unfortunately, due to Coronavirus restrictions, we prefer that you move in on one of those days, however, should you have flight cancellations or delays, or arriving after business hours, please inform us at intlsuccess@maryville.edu. If arriving late and you or your parents need a room, you may use the Maryville promotional rate at Marriott St. Louis West by booking through this link.

The International Student Orientation is a virtual program for all new international students (first-year or transfer) at Maryville University. You will join us for Virtual International Orientation Day (August 18) through the Orientation App using your iPad, phone, or on a computer. The app goes live in August and you will be informed with instructions.

International Student Orientation is designed to help you adjust to academic and social life at Maryville, comply with government regulations pertaining to your stay in the U.S. (SEVIS check-in and immigration training), learn about on- and off-campus resources and support services, set up your digital student ID, find out how to navigate the physical and virtual environment at Maryville, make adjustments to your schedule, become comfortable with the U.S. culture, obtain the essential items you might need in your first week, and most important, meet new people and make friends from around the world. 

  • ALL International Students (undergraduate and graduate) are invited to participate in Virtual International Orientation, Tuesday, August 18: This day with focus on topics specifically related to you as an international student. – Details to follow
  • In addition, First-Year International Students will participate in First Year Orientation on Saturday and Sunday, August 22 and 23: Please refer to this link for details.
  • Undergraduate Transfer International Students will join us for one of the Transfer Orientation options.
