Our International Orientation starts on August 16, 2021 and runs through August 22, 2021. The first day of the orientation is mandatory for all students, graduate and undergraduate. More detailed information is coming up on this page: https://www.maryville.edu/student-experience/orientation-main.
Detailed orientation schedule per academic level:
- ALL INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS (Graduate and Undergraduate, First-Years and Transfers)
You will participate in International Orientation, Monday, August 16. This day will focus on important topics specifically related to you as an international student. Graduate students must attend this day. If you are not able to attend in-person, for any reason, we are happy to provide a Zoom link for you to follow between 10 am and 12 pm: https://maryvilleu.zoom.us/j/97089782835?from=addon
- If you are an undergraduate student (First-Year or Transfer)
After attending Monday, August 16, you will further continue on to participate between Tuesday, August 17 – Wednesday, August 18. These days will further focus on academics, health and wellness, campus resources and St. Louis excursions. Recommended but not mandatory for graduate students. If you are not able to attend in-person, for any reason, we are happy to provide a Zoom link for you to follow between 10 am and 12 pm and then again between 1pm and 4pm: https://maryvilleu.zoom.us/j/97089782835?from=addon
- If you are a First-Year Undergraduate Student (living on-campus or commuter):
After attending Monday, August 16 – Wednesday, August 18, you will further continue on to participate in First-Year Orientation (general orientation including domestic students) between Thursday, August 17 – Sunday, August 22.
- If you are a Transfer Student:
You will join us for one of the Transfer Orientation options.
Please make sure that you make your travel arrangements to arrive in St. Louis, the latest by August 15, 2021.
For on-campus residential students, International Student Move-in Day is Sunday, August 15 (be ready to attend orientation starting on August 16.)
If, for any reason such as athletics, pandemic-related or flight unavailability, you need to move-in to campus earlier than August 15, please know that the only available prior date to move-in is Sunday, August 8. When you make your travel plans, keep in mind that you will not be able to move-in between August 9 through August 14. Please fill out this form to be approved for early arrival, if that’s the case.
Please visit our “Airport Pick Up Request” page if you prefer to be picked up from the airport, free of charge (even if you don’t live on campus, we will take you to your address of stay).
