The International Student Orientation is a program for all newly-admitted (first-year or transfer) international students at Maryville University. It is offered by the Office of International Student Success in cooperation with many other Maryville University offices. International Student Orientation includes various mandatory educational sessions and non-mandatory social activities to prepare you for life at Maryville. During the Orientation Week, we hope to be able to answer all of the questions that you might have.
International Student Orientation is designed to help you adjust to academic and social life at Maryville, comply with government regulations pertaining to your stay in the U.S. (SEVIS check-in and immigration training), learn about on- and off-campus resources and support services, get your student ID, find out how to navigate the physical and electronic environment at Maryville, register for your classes, become comfortable with the U.S. culture, obtain the essential items you might need in your first week, and most important, meet new people and make friends from around the world.
