As you are likely aware, there have been recent updates to Maryville’s SaintStrong Policies and Procedures. Please review the site for the changes regarding face coverings and safety standards on campus: https://www.maryville.edu/saintstrong/policiesandprotocols/health-and-safety/. Currently, face coverings are not required for students who are fully vaccinated for COVID-19. Consistent with CDC and St. Louis county guidance, the University strongly encourages students who are not fully vaccinated against COVID-19 to wear a face covering and maintain 6 feet of physical distance while on campus. These policies are subject to change so please review the policies and procedures regularly for additional updates.
Face shields and gloves are still available to students while in lab based on personal choice. Appropriate personal protection equipment may still be required depending on the situation; appropriate PPE will be provided in these instances. For this and other SaintStrong policies such as Academic and Residential Life, please visit MARYVILLE SAINTSRONG.
If you have not received your COVID-19 vaccine yet, there are vaccines currently available on campus, and there are many options available to you in the St. Louis area. Please check out the SaintStrong Vaccine Information for further details: https://www.maryville.edu/saintstrong/vaccineinformation/. For newly incoming students from other countries, there will be multiple opportunities for you to get vaccinated during our International Student Orientation. Please check in with us, if you have any questions or concerns, or if you would like to be vaccinated during orientation, please send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org, with the subject line “Covid-19 Vaccination”.
Thank you for your continued patience as we work together to keep our community safe!
