Considering joining other Maryville alumni and faculty on a fabulous two-week travel adventure to Italy in next summer? Now is the time to make your reservation. The journey takes place June 11-27, 2010. The two-week itinerary begins in Venice and continues on to Tuscany, Rome, and finally the Amalfi Coast area.
James Harf, PhD, director of Maryville’s Center for Global Education, will lead the group, along with faculty members John Wickersham, PhD, and Dennis Wachtel, PhD. A full set of excursions is planned; many are optional, allowing for significant free time or participation in other options led by members of the staff.
The trip provides a tremendous opportunity to experience the most beautiful, historically meaningful and exciting parts of one of the world’s most fascinating countries, and to meet other alumni with similar interests. Wachtel and Wickersham will provide insightful and timely lectures in wonderful settings along the way. An art historian will lead the group through some of the world’s greatest treasures.
Given the current exchange rate and airline prices, the conservative estimated cost for everything except souvenirs and personal purchases is $4,500 (double occupancy). A refundable deposit of $500 per participant is required to reserve a spot. Credit cards are welcome.
