Tony Duckworth, director of athletics, has announced that Kim Hodge has been named head women’s golf coach and Ryan Hart has been named assistant coach for the men’s basketball program.
Hodge concurrently serves as a teaching professional at the Golf Body Performance Center in St. Louis and brings more than 16 years of experience. She has served as the assistant golf professional at a variety of courses in Missouri and Illinois, most recently with Bellerive Country Club.
Hodge was a four-year member of the women’s golf team at Northern Illinois University (NCAA Division I) where she earned her bachelor’s degree in physical education and sports business. She was inducted into NIU’s Golf Wall of Fame in 2000 and the Waukegan Sports Hall of Fame in Waukegan, Ill., in 2008.
Hart comes to Maryville from Eastern Kentucky University, an NCAA Division I institution, where he served as the Director of Basketball Operations for the past two seasons. He was ranked No. 15 in the nation among Director of Basketball Operations in the 2009 The College Bound Hoops rankings. The Colonels ranked in the top 10 among NCAA Division I programs in three categories: three-point field goals made per game (2nd, 10.0), assist-to-turnover ratio (2nd, +1.63) and fewest turnovers per game (3rd, 9.6). EKU also set a McBrayer Arena record with 19 consecutive home victories, the sixth longest streak in the nation and the program record for home wins (15) and regular season victories (20).
