Sam Hausfather, PhD, dean of the School of Education at Maryville University, has been appointed to a national advisory group that will assist the American Association of Colleges for Teacher Education (AACTE) in improving clinical teacher preparation programs that are critical to the enhancement of the nation’s K-12 schools.

Bob Bertolino, PhD, associate professor of rehabilitation counseling, has co-written a book, The Therapist’s Notebook on Positive Psychology. He also presented a full-day seminar in July on “Strengths-Based Therapy” for the American Mental Health Counselor’s Association (AMHCA) held in Boston, Mass.; presented three workshops in August for PATH Inc.; and presented earlier this month at the “Treating the iGeneration: Advanced Training for Helping Adolescents, Young Adults, and Families,” conference in Scottsdale, Ariz.
