Alumni and friends of Maryville University are invited to attend a brief talk and question-and-answer session by P.W. Singer, a specialist on 21st century warfare. Singer will be on campus Tuesday, Jan. 22, at 11:30 a.m. in Maryville University Auditorium.
Singer is a Senior Fellow at the Brookings Institution, known for his thinking on 21st century warfare. In his work, he explores how science fiction, with its emphasis on robotics and other technologies, is now playing out on modern-day battlefields, and the implications of these developments on war, politics, ethics and law in our time.

Singer is also speaking at 8 p.m. at Powell Hall on Tuesday, Jan. 22, as part of the St. Louis Speakers Series presented by Maryville University. Tickets to the Speakers Series must be purchased for the entire series.
